A measurement system has been developed to detect errors in the head-up display of JAS 39 Gripen. Errors have been identified by continuously capturing images of the display and comparing it to a reference image.
Signal acquisition has been made concurrently with a Data Acquisition device and the data has been processed and analyzed in LabVIEW, a visual programming tool.
The resulting measurement system functioned as intended. There was an uncertainty in the time stamp of the logged error, with a standard deviation of 15.1 ms.
